Re: Klezmer Concertos and Encores

Paul is a very old friend who play piano on my first (vinyl, I'm an old guy)
recording ever, but I don't much like this piece, either. The name escapes
me, but the concerto Canadian composer Sid Robinovitch wrote for Finjan and the
Winnipeg Symphony is terrific, recorded, too.
The other pieces, concerti for sax quartet and banjo aren't Jewish, but they're
also really nice. Sid is a real mensh who's done lots of Jewish works.

Twin Cities clarinetist composer/clarinetist Shelly Hansen did a klez concerto,
too. Not as good as Sid's.
