"From Avenue A to the Great White Way" On Stage

Henry Sapoznik, producer of the Sony Legacy anthology "From Avenue A to the 
Great White Way" brings the excitement and innovation of the critically 
acclaimed CD set to the stage with a world premier concert featuring "The 
Buena Mitzva Social Club"  New York's great swing and Yiddish radio veterans 
to the Jewish Museum Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 6:30.
Focusing on the fertile era 1912-1950 when Yiddish popular culture and 
American mass entertainment converged, the concert will feature those 
outstanding musical talents who were part of the recent successful national 
tour of NPR's Yiddish Radio Project stage show.  Again, the orchestra is led 
by acclaimed pianist and conductor Pete Sokolow and vocalist/MC Henry 
Sapoznik. 

The Jewish Museum is located at 1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd St
Tickets $16 general public, $14 students/over 65/members.
