Nefesh - 2 upcoming free concerts



Nefesh Klezmer Band In 2 Free Concerts February 2003

Americares, Southbury, CT - Feb 9th
Sunday, February 9th at 1:30 - 3:30pm - Nefesh is back by popular demand (our 
third year) performing at the Benefit Gala to aid Americares. The benefit 
will be held at the United Church of Christ, Main Street North, Southbury, 
CT. Snow Date Feb 16th. Refreshments will be served. There is no admission 
charge - donations are accepted. 

Towers, New Haven, CT - Feb 23rd
Nefesh Klezmer Band will present a free performance of Klezmer, Yiddish and 
Israeli music at New Haven?s Tower One/Tower East Senior complex on Sunday, 
February 23rd at 2pm. The event is a ?thank you? to the staff and residents 
of the Towers for their kindness and support when Nefesh drummer Alan Falk?s 
father, Julius Falk, collapsed and died at the Towers in September 2001, 
while attending the Tower?s regular Saturday morning Shabbat Services. There

'Nefesh Unplucked' at the Jewish Museum!!
Our debut CD ?Nefesh Unplucked? has received rave reviews, and has been aired 
on several US and International Jewish radio stations as far afield as 
Siberia, Russia! In addition, the album was recently selected by the New York 
Jewish Museum to be available for sale at the Museum's Gift Shop. 

Nefesh Klezmer Band has brought audiences to their feet at numerous Jewish 
community events in and around Connecticut and New York at festivals and 
concerts including the New Haven International Arts & Ideas Festival, First 
Night Danbury, New Haven Jewish Federation ?Taste Of Honey?, The Jewish 
International Music Festival, Hadassah, and Chabad events, as well as 
numerous private parties, simchas, community functions and holiday 
celebrations.
