ALEX,
Nobody else seems to have experienced this situation...
A cousin of mine married a Chinese woman and we played a medley of trad
klezmer, original compositions, classical and 3 Chinese tunes.
As I didn't know any of them before, I asked the bride to sing them and wrote
the music down. Perhaps you could do the same: satisfaction guaranteed!
One is 'Tshay na lee' (Where are you) and I don't remember the names of the 2
others.
But I kept the notes and can send them to you as .jpg attachement, but.... off
list!
Michal

Hey Folks,
A subset of Nefesh was just hired to provide the music for after a wedding in
Manhattan. It is a Jewish wedding and the bride is Chinese. We would like to
play some Chinese music after the service along with our usual mix of
Klezmer/Yemenite/Israeli etc.. Any ideas?
There will be three of us, Clarinet/Recorder - Keyboard/Dulcimer -
Drums/Guitar.
Best Regards All,
Alex
