Sylvia,

There's an LP called "Tango Mit Mein Yiddishe Meidele" by Hanna Greenbaum
with her Orchestra of Israel (Bruno Records BR 50194[1962]) that may have
some material that you can use.  I'm not sure how much (if any) of the 
material
is from between the wars.
