my typo: flamenco is NOT as old....

I meant flamenco is NOT as old a genre as its mythology suggests.
Sorry!!!
The research on flamenco places it , in a form that resembles what we
know as flamenco (in its various more traditional and more modern and
fusion guises) as not older than the 18th century or so, though
naturally, the Gypsy presence in Spain is much older. I'm just
mentioning this because of the current trend to identify Sephardic music
with flamenco or vice versa.

I also left out a word, "dance" - the sentence should have been "what
does speaking Hebrew have to do with how women...dance".

Sorry - it was early morning before the caffeine had kicked in. Judith
