Flippy and the C night contrafact

Somehow I missed "bagels 'n' bras" but imagining Simon singing his Flippy
contrafact of "O Holy
Night" , on Fairfax , certainly gets my day off to a smiling start! When my
sister got married
2 years ago, Tamar and a friend and I adapted "Bright Morning Star" to sing for
the occasion;
one of the new verses we introduced, using the same scansion, was, following the
original:
Bri-ight mooorr-ing stars are ri-i-sin'...
Ma -zal tov to Neil and Sa-a-ra.....

But only our other sister knew the original and thought it was funny; no one
else among family
and friends had ever heard of it.

Our grandp[arents' anniversary was Dec. 25 and it was years before we knew it
was also Xmas. Now
I have both them AND Flippy to think of... Judith

> "Oh Holy Night", however it ends with " 'C'
> our savious is born." When I get to that part, I just substitute "Flippy the
> Kelev (dog in Hebrew) is born"
