RE: in today's Wall St. Journal

Since we are on the subject of Marilyn Lerner and David Wall, I should
mention that together with their fellow Flying Bulgar Klezmer Band mates,
David Buchbinder, Alex Downing, Bob Stevenson, and Daniel Barnes, last
Saturday night they presented live their most recent work, Shekhine. They
were joined by guest artists Jane Bunnett (Soprano Sax and Flute) and actor
Alex Poch-Goldin in this theatrical presentation, in 2 acts which weaved
poetic readings with new musical contributions from all of the musicians,
weved around the theme...Shekhine, Spirit in the Natural World.

Presented in Toronto's new Isabel Bader Theater, the evening was magical and
wonderous. This group continues to break new ground in Jewsih music, and
play with a joy and exuberance which is sincere, genuien and inspiring.
According to the program, the music featured at this very special
performance will be rcorded next year. In the interim we can look forward to
seeing them at the upcoming Ashkenaz Festival in late August, here in
Toronto.
