Re: Strauss/Warschauer Duo seeks bookings in Europe, Summer 2002

As co-director of the Jewish Music Festival in Berkeley, CA, I would like to
heartily recommend the Strauss/Warschauer Duo to anybody on this list who
still doesn't know that they weave magic at their klezmer workshops.

I had the opportunity to observe their workshops with groups ranging from
the Berkeley High School orchestra to Jewish day schools. Deborah and Jeff
have a great way with kids, capturing the attention even of squirming 7th
graders. They play well off each other, are incredibly well organized, and
provide a wonderful entree into klezmer, Yiddish, and even Jews, for that
matter, to all ages and cultures.

They are truly pied pipers and anybody in a position to get them into
schools, community centers, or anywhere else would be doing a great service.
