Alexander Tamir

An interesting article in Haaretz magazine section this week (in Hebrew) is
an interview with Alexander Tamir, Israeli musician born Alexander
Volkovisky, who at age 11 won second prize in the Vilna Ghetto music contest
for his song "Stiller Stiller" (in Hebrew, "Ponar"). The song is one of the
best known songs of the Holocaust.
