OPEN HOUSE FOR JEFF WARSCHAUER'S KLEZMER WORKSHOP
A free Open House for Jeff Warschauer's Klezmer Workshop will be held on
Wednesday, February 13, 7:30-9:30 p.m., at Congregation Beth Elohim, 8th
Avenue and Garfield Place, Park Slope, Brooklyn. The workshop offers a rare
chance to learn klezmer repertoire and style with one of the most active
teacher/performers on the klezmer scene.
The four-session workshop will be held every Wednesday, February 20-March
13, 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Beth Elohim. All instrumentalists at an
intermediate level and up are welcome. The price is $100/ CBE members,
$140/non-members.
Guitarist/mandolinist Jeff Warschauer performs and teaches klezmer music
worldwide. A member of the Klezmer Conservatory Band and the
Strauss/Warschauer Duo, his award-winning music has been heard on HBO,
Public Radio International, and numerous recordings.
The workshop will continue in a new series in mid-April.
