Hello!

Hello all!
My name is Jill and I'm a brand newbie to this list.  Just to give you a 
little background information,  I'm 27 years old, live in Burbank, CA 
and draw cartoons for a living.

My interest in klezmer music started when I first heard the CD by "The 
Krakow Klezmer Band" called "De Profundis."  I loved the dark, secret, 
gypsy feel of it and have been searching for more like it ever since!  I 
am also in love with the happier, what I'm guessing is the more 
traditional sound of klezmer played during Jewish weddings and holidays. 
 I am new to this, though, so I hope to learn a lot more from all of you 
listers!

Speaking of "The Krakow Klezmer Band," has anyone heard their latest CD 
which supposedly came out on the 20th of November called "The Warriors?" 
 I would love to hear your thoughts and comparisons to the first CD 
since I have not been able to get my hands on it yet!

Thanks again for inviting me to the list and I'm looking forward to 
opening the doorway to more great music!  :)
