Thanks for putting it so eloquently, Ed!  I have also felt the animosity that 
some Israelis have toward Yiddish, as if its existence somehow challenged 
Zionism.  Hopefully this will change while there are still Yiddish speakers 
among us.

Happy Thanksgiving (oops, whatever you Canadians have).
