Trip to Ukraine

Hi- I'm going to Lviv, Ukraine for the Cimbalom World
Association Congress Oct 20-30.  Will be doing a bit
of travelling-- around Lviv & possibly the Ukranian
Carpathians.  Alternatively, might head from Lviv
towards Kiev.  Would be greatful if anyone had any
hints as to places to go, people to meet, etc.  

Here's the catch-- I don't speak any Slavic languages.
 Can get by in German & Yiddish.  

Any help would be much appreciated.
