NPR's "Weekend Edition" to feature David Krakauer this Sunday 8/12

National Public Radio's (NPR) "Weekend Edition" program will air an 8-minute
story on the "beyond crossover" life and music of clarinetist David Krakauer
this Sunday, August 12.   Reporter Jon Kalish interviews Krakauer about his
unique classical and jazz/rock-inspired klezmer career, interweaving musical
excerpts from his recordings as well as comments by writer Joe
Horowitz and legendary Boston-based jazz musician Joel Press.

Times vary around the country, so please check your local NPR station for
"Weekend Edition" hours.  In New York, the show runs from 8-10:00 am on WNYC
(93.9 FM) and is re-fed a number of times after that for midwest and west
coast stations.  Unfortunately we can't predict exactly when in that time
the
piece will air, though it will most likely close the show.
