Dear Ernie,
The dance, Zemer Atik was choreographed by Rivka Sturman . There are 2
versions, a couples version which was choreographed in 1962 and a circle
version from 1956 according to one online data base
http://www.netspace.net.au/~jared/idx/n.htm . Another data base gives the
circle version as 1950
http://www.israelidance.com/library/display.cfm?ID=1020. The composer of
the tune was Amitai Ne'eman but I don't know the year. Maybe someone else
has further info. How did it come to be part of the Australian pop/bush
band scene?
