this reminds me of the scene at a neighboring shul to mine in connecticut
where i got a call from an upset rabbi who hade to leave the room when the
sisterhood president had hired a male stripper for a Slichot social hour!
It turned out that the she had overheard two brotherhood members talking
about how they were going to hire a stripper for slichot, of course a joke,
and she decided to make a feminist statement by hiring a male one, too. A
fine way to do tshuva, don't you think.
