RE: Was Bruch Jewish?

Bruch wrote a wonderful full scale Oratorio called Moses. Jmi put on the first
performance in London in the Jewish Music Festival of 1988. We are planning
another one
next year around Pesach Time!

Apparently Bruch was Protestant, but he wrote (had several commissions for)
pieces that could lead a person to assume he was Jewish--the Kol
Nidre, several pieces based on Hebrew themes, and works based on the Old
Testament.
