a comment on quoting (and citing)

Judith,
I'm a Friedman writing to a Cohen.
I could be mistaken (if so, please forgive and
correct me), but I think I've been the only Friedman
posting to this list recently. There are several Cohens
posting to this list, I note.
I read my email out of sequence, and your comment
on "the Friedman article" left me searching for past
things I've written to see what it was all about.
I have been actively writing lately on another list,
and I wondered whether I had inadvertantly cross-
posted items regarding the UJA/Wiesel/Bertelsmann
disgrace.
Only later did I find out that your reference was
to the correspondence regarding THOMAS Friedman's
(no relation) sudden awakening to the situation in Israel.
So a little context or, at least, a first name (non-Christian)
IS helpful sometimes. :-)
