Classical Works: Jewish connections?

Does anyone know if any of these works have any connection with Jewish
themes, e.g., the Hebrew Scriptures?

Holten, Bo: The Garden of Love
Koppel: Fem bibelske Sange
Levy, Jules: Sym.3 ?The Eternal Fire?

BTW, I have place 2 biographies of Oscar Hammerstein II on hold with
my local library to further investigate his Jewish connection.  Does
anyone know whether there is a "definitive" biography?
