Can someone help with this? Judy
Hi, I'm trying to locate an old Yiddush Song for my Father. He is turning
82. He grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He keeps describing the
following song:
" Shikhelekh "
This version of the song is about a little boy who owns a pair of shoes,
however, they have holes in them. It's raining out and the boy sings to his
mother that he needs new shoes.
Have you heard anything like this? Or can you lead me to someone who can
assist in this matter?
Shalom,
Ben Schreiber
