Authentic filed recordings made in 1957 by ethnomusicologist Deben 
Bhattacharya. Music of Jewish people from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Yemen 
and Bukhara (in Uzbekistan, central Asia). Ethnic instruments, such as the 
Oud, qanun, darbukka, chang, (dulcimer) kamancha (fiddle) the tambur (lute) 
doira (drum) and even kerosene tins. Extensive explanations to music and 
instruments plus photos in the booklet.
