Re: OT Leslie Epstein

I haven'tread this book - only reviews - but I know the story of Rumkowski. He
was in a difficult situation, and made what he thought was the
lesser-ot-two-evils choice. It is easy to criticize in hindsight, especially
when the one criticized can't respond.

Nu...he teaches at Boston University in the Writing Dept. why don't you
"ring" him up. I have problems with the Rumkowski character too. My thinking is
that maybe he wanted to show that I Jew could be a scoundrel and a hero. Sort
of like oops Schindler and the Germans.

I hope I'm remembering this "right" it's been a while since I read this book.
