Re: Merchant of Venice

While in Oxford in 1987 at a Yiddish Summer Programme, I went to nearby
Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Antony Sher in Merchant of Venice. Back again in
class the next morning, we discussed the production. Our teacher Elinor
Robinson (Léa Robinson) gave us the Yiddish title of the play -
Der Soykher fun Venedik.
