Or, for a simpler rule, we can say that C is the second note of the Bb scale, 
therefore C dorian works it from C to C in the Bb key sig. So dorian transposed 
to f / "f dorian" would be F G Ab Bb C D Eb F. Why is everyone so into the 
half/whole pattern thing? Whatever -- I get it now, and thanks
