Kosher Instruments?

Serious question.

Are there religious constrants on materials used to make musical instruments? 
  
For example:  Would an Israeli Tof maker build an instrument from a goat that 
wasn't slaughted according to halachi law and be able to sell it as a kosher 
instrument?  Would anyone care?
