Name This Tune????

Just received this email, any body have any information on this?
I was recently at a funeral service in French where a hymne 
was played with the opening line:

<<O mon ame...   (Oh! my soul!)

Although the text had some Christian themes in the very 
last verse, the music was the Hatikvah. >>

Have you ever come across this?
