Yosl Mlotek was a major folklorist, musicologist, educator,
and literary figure in American Jewish and Yiddish life
without whom the current generation of creative Yiddish
artists would not have achieved anything near what it has.
He was a keeper of the cultural, musical, and liguistic traditions that we 
carry on today.

May his memory be an inspiration to us.
