OOps, forgot to list a concert for today

Shalom Chevre,
I forgot to list this big event in my gigging life for tonight,Monday, June
19. My new group, David Chevan's AFRO-SEMITIC EXPERIENCE, is playing at
8:30 p.m. at the Buttonwood Tree with Rich McGhee on soprano sax, Raymond
"Dr. Rackle" Williams on trumpet, and Warren Byrd on piano. The Buttonwood
Tree is located at 605 Main Street in Middletown, CT and the phone number is
(860) 347-4957. We proudly play music that has elsewhere been described on
this list as "promiscuous fusionizing". If you come down you'll horas,
freylakhs, blues and more. Warren Byrd and I will probably also play a few
duets.

Further, Warren and I just finished recording the tracks for a new CD, a
follow-up to the 1998, AVADIM HAYINU (on Reckless DC Music available at
www.jewishmusic.com and amazon.com . . . now back to our show). It's
tentative title is, "If I Can Help Somebody," which was an old gospel number
made famous by Mahalia Jackson. This CD is a studio effort and I've already
the rough mixes and from a sonic standpoint alone it sounds so much clearer
and cleaner than our first live effort. Knowing how long it takes to get
the cover art done and the mixing and all, I think you can safely expect to
see me kvelling about it in about a couple of months.
