Dear Wolf,
You obviously scrutinized my communication with the list and found some
areas of personal and political concern. We have addressed these issues in
advance and created an itinerary based on educational objectives. I
acknowledge your concerns- I am gettting a variety of accounts and want to
stay focused on the good we can accomplish by going.
I can assure the list that the project has been well researched and has the
support from knowledgable consultants, and a film crew that has documented
the stories of survivors and Klezmer musicians in Krakow and other areas of
Poland. They speak the language and know the ropes.
Your interest in our mentors- One of our mentors is a grandparent that
speaks the language and was born outside of Poland. She has inspired the
teens and encouraged the group to reach back to the past.
Other mentoring relationships will be established with Klezmer musicians in
Krakow. Kids have been in communication with them for the last few months.
Can the fear stuff Wolf. It reminds me of the adult addictions to don't jump
on the bed or you will fall off.
<snip>
Actually, I did fall off a bed that I was jumping on, and dislocated my arm.
Not all bubby meinsers are wrong.
