For the record: neither do I. If my postings implied otherwise,
I take responsibility for the sometimes uncontrolled emotional
language that may have led to this misunderstanding.
For me, it is not a matter of a fixed "attitude" towards Germans
--I take every person on their own merits or lack of them --
it is of an ongoing processing of profound and wide-reaching
"emotionally-charged" issues. I will continue to struggle with labels
and associations in the attempt to see people for who they really are.
It pisses me off that the German-Jewish thing still has the power to
get between people who personally had nothing to do with events in
Europe.
As far as music is concerned, to paraphrase the late Miles Davis:
I don't care if a cat is blue, green or polka-dot, if he can PLAY.
I would also like to correct an error I made.
I have been informed by an esteemed list member and
musician par excellance, that through "circular breathing",
you can indeed "suck and blow at the same time".
(I'm just a guitar-player; what do I know?).
