Re: Cajun Accordion - OT

For an interesting glimpse of the Central-European musical community in Texas,
see Chris Strachwitz's compilation "Texas Czech-Bohemian Bands: Early Recordings
1928-1953" (Folklyric 9031). The liner notes are fascinating and informative
and give an inkling of insight into the unlikely affinity between Louisiana
cajun and northern polka bands, as well as the popularity of the polka form
(and the accordion) in norteño music.
