Hankus, I think you mean "Milken" not "Miken". Mike Milken, of 1980's
securities fame (or infamy, depending on your point of view) and his
family, have given a very significant endowment to establish the Milken
Family Foundation, which supports many worthwhile causes in education,
medical research, and the Jewish community here in LA and around the
country. One of their projects, initiated by Lowell Milken, Mike's
brother, is the Milken American Jewish Music Archive. The mission of the
Archive is described on the Milken Family Foundation website:
http://www.mff.org/initiatives.taf?page=music I don't know very much about
the archive, other than that Ed Seroussi is on the Board of Directors. I
gather that they are planning or are already engaged in extensive archival
videotaping of musical material.
