TACHLIT

Actually, rather than "task",

in Hebrew, TAKHLIT means Aim, Purpose, End, and

in Yiddish, TAKHLES means Result, Practical purpose, Serious
business.

To all, Shana tova om'tukaa (a Goott'n un zeess'n yohr)

"Tachlis" means "task," with the overtone of obligation or
responsibility. So Tashlich is actually a tachlis . . .
Someone fluent in Hebrew could best define <takhlis> for us.
