Thanks to all who responded on the "Ballad of Mauthausen". For those
who are interested in a CD of the Maria Farandouri recording, it is
available on EMI Greece 14C 045 702042 from
Greek Music & Video 25-50 31st Street Astoria, NY 11102
718.932.8400
$18.98 + 4.95 shipping & handling + applicable sales tax..
The good news is that they are incredibly prompt (I got my copy the
next day. The bad news is, as Bret Werb had privately written to me,
"LP and CD are identical ("Mauthausen" + six songs to various poets)
but LP notes are far more detailed and include translations." In
fact, the CD I received is nearly all in Greek and includes no notes
or texts in any language.
