I'm not sure if Mickey Katz is what Professor Harrow had in mind, but I don't 
believe that anyone has mentioned Don Byron's "Plays the Music of Mickey Katz" 
including "Haim Afen Range" ("Home on the Range").

Heym", a Yiddish translation of Home On the Range (liner notes give credit to 
source).
    
    2. Kinky Friedman (of mystery novel fame) has several recordings with,
