It is, unfortunately true that online sites tend to list only
those resources available online. In the case of my site, to
get listed, a store has to send me e-mail--that way I can ensure
that the store exists, and there is a way to reach them, and
that they want to be listed. (Some bands, agencies, etc., don't
want to be listed, or don't check e-mail, making listing such
an address a disservice to everyone involved. YIVO, in another
instance, actively discourages e-mail contact--they feel
overwhelmed by the queries they get by other means.)

While I can't imagine stores wanting anything =but= publicity,
my site is managed in my spare time and I list only what people
tell me about. (This =does= include Simon's Hatikva records, by
the way, as well as Tara, House of Musical Traditions, a bisl
yiddish, Mark David's Yiddish Voice store, and many individual
sheet music authors/vendors, etc.)

It would be great if someone did an online directory of Jewish
bookstores/music stores, etc., though. Nice idea.

Oh, and obviously, I think all of us (I think I speak for Judy
on this issue, as well) welcome posting all relevant info we
can get--the only filter is in getting the info in the first place.
(I even tend to e-mail people who post here to see if they want
to be listed.)
