Two other books of classic klezmer tunes are:
1. Sy Kushner's "The Klezmer Music Fake Book", volumes 1 and 2. Like The
Compleat Klezmer, each comes with a CD, except that each tune is presented
in its entirety. Each volume is also presented in C or Bb versions.
2. The Klezmer Band Folio, by Ken Richmond, also in C or Bb volumes.
The transcriptions tend to be more detailed - noting krekhts and slides,
where other volumes we are familiar with do not. (The recording that is
available is the Yale Klezmer Band, vs. the alte mevonim - the old
masters).
