I'll lend my voice in support of Sy Kushner's fake books.  
A great selection of tunes, and the transcriptions include
just enough of the dreydlakh to give an accurate sense of
how the tune should be played.  And it's great to be able
to listen to the original 78s - on CD - while staring at
the page.  Well worth the cost of the two-volume set.
