New Jewish Music show on Internet Tuesdays 9-10pm Eastern time

Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 6, "The Klezmer Hour," hosted by music
critic Seth Rogovoy and originating from Williams College radio station WCFM
(91.9 FM) in Williamstown, Mass., will be broadcast in real time on the
Internet, Tuesdays from 9 to 10pm Eastern time.

The weekly, hourlong program -- one of the only ones of its kind to be
broadcast over the Internet -- will feature a broad range of traditional
Klezmer, neo-Klezmer and non-Klezmer-based New Jewish Music. On it you will
hear everything from popular recordings by Andy Statman, the Klezmatics and
Brave Old World to the Yiddish folk-rock of Wolf Krakowski, the electronic
midrash of Bob Gluck to Joel Rubin's glistening new renderings of classic
Klezmer arrangements. John Zorn might rub elbows with Mickey Katz, and
Hasidic New Wave is likely to be heard frequently.

In order to hear the program live as it is broadcast, go to the following
URL on Tuesdays a few minutes before 9pm Eastern Time and click on the word
"Receive" if you already have Real Audio. If you don't, there are
instructions on this page about how to get it.

Please note that "The Klezmer Hour" will be subject to the vagaries of
college radio scheduling, meaning it will only be broadcast while school is
in session.

Those within reception distance of WCFM can tune in to "The Klezmer Hour"
conventionally on their FM radios. WCFM reaches Northern Berkshire and parts
of Southern Vermont.

For more information on the host, Seth Rogovoy, who writes extensively about
Klezmer and New Jewish Music, visit his web page at:
