Gershwin's "The Dybbuk"

I'm in the process of writing an article on George Gershwin (who would have
been 100 yesterday!), but cannot find any substantial information on his
Jewish opera "The Dybbuk". I know that he was contracted for it (by
Metropolitan), but that the whole thing was called off. Do any remnants
exist, or was the work not started, even? He also seems to have had some
contacts with Sholem Secunda.

Anyone who knows?
