Stars of David - A CD-Rom

Stars of David, a CD-Rom containing over 600 complete selections of
almost 200 singers of Jewish heritage, will soon be available. Although
much of the disc is devoted to these artists singing operatic and
classical song material, there are also many recordings of cantorials and
Jewish and Hebrew song. Among the singers represented are Cantors Richard
Allen (never before issued), Selmar Cerini, Berele Chagy, Louis Danto,
Mordechai Hershman, Adolf Katchko, Sholom Katz, Jacob Konigsberg, Sophie
Kurtzer, David and Moshe Kusevitsky, Savel Kwartin, Herman Malamood,
Yossele Rosenblatt and son, Henry, Moshe Rudinow, Mayer Schorr (father of
the great Wagnerian baritone, Friedrich Schorr), Sydney Shicoff (father
of the famous tenor, Neil Shicoff), Joseph Shlisky, Gerson Sirota, and
Richard Tucker. Other artists represented by Yiddish or Hebrew song are:
Mischa Alexandrovitch, Sidor Belarsky, Miklos Gafni, Arnoldo Georgewsky,
Alma Gluck, Paolo Gorin, Simon Khromchenko, Nina Koshetz, Rosa Raisa,
Bianca Sauler, and Josef Winogradoff.
