To those who have been searching for the music of Mordechai Gebirtig,there is
exciting news.

Hatikvah Music is has acquired exclusive distribution of the only COMPLETE
collection of Mordechai Gebirtig. This hardcover book of almost 300 pages,
contains all 88 compositions attributed to Gebirtig.  Each song contains the
musical notations, lyrics in Yiddish, Yiddish transliteration, and German
Translation. Since some of the compositions were written as poems, the
publisher, Manfred Lemm, has composed original melodies to those poems  in the
style of Gebirtig.

Also included is a bio on Gebirtig and his home town of Cracow in German as
well as some beautiful color paintings.  There is a 4 page article, "Die
Yiddishe Shprache" by Menachem Kipnis in both Yiddish and German.

This is a wonderful companion to the three CDs of Gebirtig songs performed by
