Manny Patinkin - Yiddish

Good news for "Yiddish" music lovers.


Mandy Patinkin has just releasea a new recording,"Mamaloshen".  The entire Cd
is in Yiddish .This is Yiddish with a twist. Besides traditional songs such as
"Beltz', "Oyf'n Pripitchek", "Patinkin adds a surprise twist: popular American
tunes by the likes of Irving Berlin-"God Bless America" and "White
Christmas"(YES, you read correctly), Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Sondheim -
"Maria" from 'West Side Story', and Paul Simon-"Amrican Tune"..All Sung In
YIDDISH.    

Mandy had consulted with Seymour Rechtzite while preparing for this recording.

Hatikvah Music has long been after the Major Record Lables to record Jewish
music again.  In that spirit, we will offer this CD to all subscribers of this
