I'll take that in the spirit it was offered--that I tend to
participate or to initiate discussions only involving
klez, one of many types of music relevant to a "jewish music"
list ;-).

Bloch, comes to mind as a classical composer who is not
only Jewish, but composed on Jewish themes. And there is
the discussion that has just been ongoing about Salmon (sp?)
Rossi. I'm sure the list will provide many others.
