Music and Labels

I was discussing the controversies about what is considered "Jewish Music"
with a friend and he noted:
People make the music first, then it gets labeled. What he was saying, to
me as a musician, was don't worry about labels, just make the music. But I
think we can also confer this axiom to the listener, don't futz with
labels, just enjoy the music and allow it to move you.
