I, too, arrange my own my concerts.  "The Jewish Travel Guide," by 
Stephen Massil (1997) is a tremendous resource for me.  It lists the 
names, telephone numbers, fax numbers, and addresses of just about every 
synagogue, JCC, etc. in the world--with especially complete listings in 
Europe.  I am sure you will find it helpful!

By the way, I heard Maxwell St. perform, last time I was in Chicago.  
They were great!
