In the largest published collection of ghetto and camp songs, Shmerke
Kaczerginsky's _Lider fun di getos un lagern_ (NY: CYCO, 1948), there
seems to be only one Auschwitz-related song that is published with music,
namely, "Der tango fun Oshvyentshim," written in Auschwitz by
a twelve-year old Jewish girl whose name is not known and who did not
survive the camp. The original text was in Polish and was set to a
pre-war tango melody. It soon became popular among camp inmates.
Kaczerginsky published it in Yiddish translation. I'd be happy to supply
a photocopy if you're interested.
