Call for Scores
The Relache Ensemble announces a call for scores. For the first time in 18
years the Relache Ensemble is presenting a holiday concert on December 8 &
9, 1995. We are looking for short works (5 minutes maximum) on holiday
themes. Eligible are original compositions or reworkings of familiar
Christmas or Chanukah music.
Relache is an 8 member performing ensemble founded in 1977 dedicated to
the development, and performance of music by living composers. The current
instrumentation is flutes (doubling on piccolo, alto & bass) / oboe
doubling English Horn /, Reeds (doubling soprano, & alto saxophones,
clarinet, bass clarinet) / bassoon / viola / contrabass doubling on
electric bass / keyboard (piano, DX5, Kurtzweil) and percussion one player
(marimba, vibraphone, Latin & hand percussion, not trap-set right now).
