Mandolin/electronics cd out

David Jaffe has just released a retrospective compilation of works
for plucking sounds, including his Ellis Island Sonata and other
works with Jewish content.

All works on the CD are his original compositions. Several feature
him playing mandolin, mandicel, and other lute-family instruments.

Others feature physical models of plucked strings run on computing systems,
including a bass-guitar extension he calls the Plucked Golden Gate Bridge.

Some include a bit of both.

The music is pretty groovy, and varies from sublime to foot-stomping fun.
For further data, I recommend writing to hi at <daj (at)
